Location –
Set in the stunning old growth of the Kulshan (Indigenous name)/Mount Baker National Forest, the Cascadia Festival celebrates music, arts and community surrounded by the great outdoors. Over the course of four days, the Masonic Family Park is transformed into a whimsical and wonderful festival ground with impressive art builds and engaging performances. The four guest camps; Ecotopia, NüIceland, Mythica and Genesis provide distinct yet complementary environments where campers of every stripe and age can find their clan.

Recommendations –
- There really is something for every taste at Cascadia NW. The festival’s website has online communities representing the various camps. Join a couple. ask questions, and decide which one suits you best.
- The setting of the festival is truly wonderful. Don’t be afraid to venture out and see some of the great hiking trails and mountain lakes in the region like the Lake 22 Trail.
- You may hear talk of the snow caves in the area. As tempting as they are, they are very dangerous to visit. Unfortunately, some do not head the warning and there are deaths there every year.
- Proposals from artist are due by April 15th, so if that’s your jam, get organized, get on it, and get on the schedule.
- Lastly, buy a ticket to Cascadia NW Arts & Culture Festival. The first tier of tickets is already sold out, but the second tier still represents incredible value. It’s a wonderful way to connect with people from all over the bioregion, all while enjoying some of the most picturesque forests we share.
