Summer Revival Gathering

A team of creative conveners is collaborating to bring 250 PNW artists & changemakers together for 3 days on Vashon Island, WA!

Our highest goal is to foster Connection, Creativity, Celebration, & Collaboration among a diverse, inter-generational group of participants.

If you can imagine a mix between an ARTS FESTIVAL, an UN-CONFERENCE, an ACTIVIST MEETUP, and a FAMILY REUNION; you’re on track to understanding the dynamism of what we have in store!

PRESENTERS: 
The Revival Gathering themes will revolve around: sacred activism, live music & celebration, intergenerational empowerment, authentic relating, racial equity, personal & collective story work, personal wellness, spoken word, transformative media, indigenous right relations, participatory song & art, nature connection, mindfulness activities, kinesthetic movement, permaculture projects, gender reconciliation, philanthropy, immersive theatre, and more… Find a full list of presenters here: www.backtolife.org/workshops/

MUSIC / POETRY / STORYTELLING:
The 2018 Revival will host a robust lineup of performance & participatory artists to catalyze our artful time together! 

— CLIMBING POETREE: Featured alongside powerhouses such as Alice Walker, Danny Glover, Cornel West, Alicia Keys, Erykah Badu, Little Dragon, and Naomi Klein, this Brooklyn duo brings together performance and justice like nobody else on the planet. www.climbingpoetree.com

CONTAINER:
Our container will be held by a diverse & experienced team of creative facilitators, employing many cultural & facilitative techniques: Open space technology, collaborative ritual, keynote presentations, participatory art creation, council circles, group storytelling, small & whole group processes, graphic recording/facilitation, the work that reconnects, community asset mapping, improvisation games, needs & offers markets, and whatever else wants to emerge!!! VENUE:
We’ll gather together on a beautiful 28 acre organic farm on Vashon Island, directly off the coast of Seattle, WA. (easily accessible by public transit, carpool, & plane). MEALS INCLUDED:
Because we know how valuable time around the “dinner table” is, all meals at the Revival will be eaten together! We just ask (to be able to keep our costs low), that you bring a couple food items (we’ll send you specifics upon registration), and sign up upon arrival for a 1hr shift in the volunteer kitchen! ACCOMMODATIONS:
Most people participating at the Revival will be camping, though the hostel will be reserved (3 blocks away) for anybody desiring indoor lodging. These bookings must be made by April 15th at the latest… You are also (obviously) free to book a nearby AirBnB, though these get reserved on island pretty early in the year, so book soon! INSTALLATIONS:

Full price tickets are set at a very affordable $200. This includes 3 days of camping, content, meals, parking, and networking with some amazing PNW change makers!!!
